Caricature FAQs:

Is this like those caricatures people get at amusement parks?

Not really. Amusement park caricatures are drawn with speed and efficiency in mind. My caricatures aim to really capture the likeness and essence of a victim person, while drawing it in my own unique, award-winning style.

How long does it take?

Typically, you’ll get the caricature in about a week, including the rough sketch and one round of edits if necessary. Bulk orders, complicated drawings and other factors may increase the production time.

These are drawn on an iPad? Does that mean you just push a button or manipulate a photo?

Nope, the caricature is still drawn by hand, same as it would be on paper. In fact, just think of the iPad as VERY expensive paper.

What am I getting?

You get a high-resolution digital file that’s yours forever. Print it out as many times as you want. Take it into Photoshop and mess with it. Use it as a digital voodoo doll and keep it up on your screen while you stab your computer monitor with a sharp object.

What about a physical print?

For additional shipping and handling fee, I can send you a hand-signed print on high-quality art paper.

Payment

Payments can be made via check, Venmo, and Paypal. A 50% deposit is required before I start the work, with the rest paid on completion.

Can you make me look better in the caricature than in real life?

I’m a cartoonist, not a plastic surgeon.

Reference photos

I need at least 1 high resolution photo of the subject. When picking reference photos, think about the following:

  • Is the person’s full face and head clearly visible?

  • Is the photo representational of how you’d want them to look?

  • Does the photo show the expression you want the caricature to have?

  • Is the photo recent and representational of how they look now?
