1919 Cincinnati Reds Deserve Their Place in History

The 1919 baseball season and World Series were marred by the “Black Sox” scandal: Chicago White Sox players accused of betting against their own team and purposefully losing World Series games. Overshadowed by the scandal is the 1919 Cincinnati Reds team, which dominated the National League. This video is a primer to Cincinnati’s first World Series winners, produced for 2019’s Opening Day. I researched and wrote the script, drew the illustrations and directed the video. The video was animated and edited by Brian Niesz, narrated by WCPO anchor Craig McKee, and voiced by WCPO journalists.

The Driver’s Guide to Bicyclists

The first video collaboration between myself and WCPO transportation reporter and biking enthusiast Pat LaFleur. I suggested to Pat that we create an animated guide about bicyclists from a car driver’s perspective. Pat wrote the initial story, which I turned into a script. I storyboarded the segments, designed all the art elements, chose the music and did the narrator voiceover work. The video was animated by Brian Niesz. The video was produced over three weeks.ss

The Driver’s Guide to School Buses

The second video collaboration between myself and Pat LaFleur. The video is a guide for drivers who may have to share the road with school buses. Like the previous video, Pat wrote the initial story, which I turned into a full script and storyboard. I provided the art elements, music, and helped with voiceover direction. Animation by Brian Niesz. The video was produced over two weeks.
